Our services
From your first pension to passing on your wealth, we give personal advice on the things that matter most. Choose a service below, or get in touch and we will help you work out where to start.
About our advice: we provide restricted advice, which means we do not consider every product on the market. We will explain the basis of our advice, and how we are paid, before we begin.
Pensions and retirement planning
Saving even a small amount early can make a real difference to the retirement you enjoy. Whether retirement is decades away or just around the corner, we will help you understand what you have, estimate what you will need and plan how to get there.
Our retirement planning service looks at your expected spending alongside every potential source of income, so you can see the whole picture and make confident decisions about when and how to retire.
Investment advice
The right investment strategy can play an important part in planning for your future. Whether you are looking for income, growth or a mix of both, we will recommend a plan that suits your goals, your timescale and your attitude to risk.
We offer a wide range of carefully constructed, risk-rated portfolios, and we will explain how your money is invested and what it costs, without the jargon.
ISAs and savings
Saving is harder than it looks. A good plan thinks about the long term as well as what might be just around the corner, so you have money available when you need it and the rest is put to work in a way that suits you.
We will help you make the most of your ISA allowance and other tax-efficient options, and find the right balance between cash savings and investments for your circumstances.
Inheritance tax and tax planning
Careful planning can help you make the most of the allowances available to you and may reduce the tax your family faces in the future. We work closely with many of our clients' accountants, so your financial plan and your tax affairs pull in the same direction.
From 6 April 2027, most unused pension funds and pension death benefits are due to be included in the value of your estate for inheritance tax. If your pension is part of your plans for your family, now is a good time to review them.
Wills, trusts and estate planning
Estate planning makes sure that what you have built passes to the people you care about, in the way you intend. Our advisers work closely with suitably qualified professionals to help meet your needs and protect your estate for your loved ones.
It can feel complicated, and some of the decisions are difficult ones. We will guide you through them calmly and help you put a plan in place that suits you and your family.
Lasting powers of attorney
A lasting power of attorney (LPA) lets you choose people you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you are ever unable to make them yourself. Without one, your family may face a slow and costly court process before they can help.
There are two types of LPA: one for property and financial affairs, and one for health and welfare. Working with suitably qualified professionals, we can help you set them up and, where someone needs to act for you straight away, we can also arrange a general power of attorney while your LPA is being registered.
Financial protection
Whether you are employed, self-employed, in a partnership or a company director, you will want to know your loved ones would be provided for if the unexpected happened.
We will look at the cover you already have, explain the options available and recommend protection that fits your needs and your budget.
Mortgage advice
Mortgage advice for our clients is provided by Bright Financial Affiliates Ltd, a separate firm we work closely with. They compare lenders' rates, criteria and affordability to help find the right mortgage for you.
From the first conversation through to completion, they will be with you every step of the way, liaising with lenders, solicitors and estate agents on your behalf.
