Our services

Financial planning services across South Wales

From your first pension to passing on your wealth, we give personal advice on the things that matter most. Choose a service below, or get in touch and we will help you work out where to start.

About our advice: we provide restricted advice, which means we do not consider every product on the market. We will explain the basis of our advice, and how we are paid, before we begin.

Inheritance tax and tax planning

Inheritance tax planning for your family's future

Careful planning can help you make the most of the allowances available to you and may reduce the tax your family faces in the future. We work closely with many of our clients' accountants, so your financial plan and your tax affairs pull in the same direction.

From 6 April 2027, most unused pension funds and pension death benefits are due to be included in the value of your estate for inheritance tax. If your pension is part of your plans for your family, now is a good time to review them.

We can help with

  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Making the most of your personal allowances
  • Income tax and capital gains tax considerations
  • Lifetime gifts and the use of trusts
  • Pensions and the April 2027 changes
  • Working alongside your accountant

Lasting powers of attorney

Choose who can act for you if you ever need it

A lasting power of attorney (LPA) lets you choose people you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you are ever unable to make them yourself. Without one, your family may face a slow and costly court process before they can help.

There are two types of LPA: one for property and financial affairs, and one for health and welfare. Working with suitably qualified professionals, we can help you set them up and, where someone needs to act for you straight away, we can also arrange a general power of attorney while your LPA is being registered.

We can help with

  • Property and financial affairs LPAs
  • Health and welfare LPAs
  • General (ordinary) powers of attorney
  • Help choosing your attorneys
  • Guidance on registering with the Office of the Public Guardian

Financial protection

Protection for you, your family and your lifestyle

Whether you are employed, self-employed, in a partnership or a company director, you will want to know your loved ones would be provided for if the unexpected happened.

We will look at the cover you already have, explain the options available and recommend protection that fits your needs and your budget.

We can help with

  • Life insurance
  • Critical illness cover
  • Income protection if you cannot work through illness or injury
  • Cover to protect your business
  • Reviewing the policies you already hold
